I had an email forwarded to me that was of no interest. I wanted to just forward it back with some text, but when I brought up the iMessage app to do so, there is no subject field on an iMessage.
I wanted to be able to so I could send a reply back. But now you can as I have written this article on how to do it! So here is the quick tutorial on how so go from having no subject field…to having one that you can edit and use!
how to get subject on imessage
Well first open up safari(or any web browser) on your Mac or iOS device. Then go to this site: https://gist.github.com/john-cook/8170175 And scroll down to the bottom and run the first python code titled “This should create a textarea input with no name.” (If you have a mac that is) Then just paste the second python code below the first one titled “This should give you a working subject box.” In front of your username. Now just click send and you will have a subject field to put in what ever it is your going to say!
Go to Settings
Messages > Send & Receive You’ll have to type in your Apple ID Password to make changes. Turn off iMessage if you are currently on it Scroll down to ‘Use your Apple ID for iMessage’ and switch it off
